Rest up, Drink up

Hello, you.
I absolutely love learning about health and wellness. Recently through my studies, I have been learning about training plans and how to help people achieve their goals. I learned that no matter what goal anyone has set themselves, there are a couple underlining rules that any person who wants to live a healthier life need to follow:

SLEEP: Make it a priority; it is really important.  Adults need to get 7-8 hours a night. In the world we live in today we are constantly filling our schedules and overbooking ourselves; rest is the key to success. Back in January, when I really starting to train hard, I (Trent) started making me go to bed by 9:30 because I was falling asleep on the couch. Once I started getting 8 solid hours of sleep each night I was able to fill our schedule with so many more activities. I wasn’t getting worn out in the day and it also made waking up for morning cardio not so excruciating.  Here is a helpful guide if you're more interested about SNOOZING

WATER:  Water is life. Without it there is no life. In our society, we are bombarded by so many different drinking options; you name it and we could probably go find it. People are lacking the most important of all; plain water.  I learned how important water was to my body when I was pregnant with my son. I was about seven months pregnant, so exhausted, constantly getting headaches and nosebleeds. I told my doctor and he said that I need to start drinking a gallon or more of water each day. I did as I was told and all those symptoms went away. I have carried that lesson on and used it in many other situations; now whenever I feel a headache coming on or start feeling a little tired I drink up. If you are starting to work out or want to lose weight drinking a gallon of water a day is the perfect add on!

If you are still reading this you are probably thinking I know, I know. Water and sleep got it. Think again my friend. Do you sleep a solid 8 hours a night?  Do you do that every week? If not I dare you to challenge yourself to one week of early nights; you will accomplish many things that week. While your at it; go fill up a water cup and drink up; here is more benefits about WATER!!!

Cabo !!! Best trip of my life!

I am off to study while my little mister snoozes. Have a great Tuesday!

  1. So my husband and I are totally trying to make some life changes when it comes to health. We are doing a workout routine and walk/running together. We have switched to water (mostly) and are eating way better. I feel so, so good. After having my little man I got so lazy about taking care of myself. Love your encouraging blog! Thanks for the tips!!
