Farm runs plus one


One of my top 5 favorite places to run is out on the farm; I love running in complete solitude. I also love running with my teeny tiny baby. (Ok so he isn’t teeny or tiny but I will still say that forever). When he WAS  a little babe we went during his nap time but now we go the second he wakes up from his morning nap. We have a variety of trails along the different hay fields and it is so beautiful everywhere you look.

There are a few things that I don’t leave behind when I bring T with me; snacks, juice, and a couple toys. He stays occupied with those and singing with me until he has to get out and walk. So we both walk and take turns pushing the stroller. Terrance will play for a while and I will start some work outs.
I’m a firm believer in squats. Over the past couple months I have been doing a variety of squats and love the results I’ve gained thus far. This is the work out I did yesterday:

20 deep squats. (as low as I could go while keeping proper form)
25 jump squats.
25 regular squats

On top of squats I like to splash some lunges in the mix. I like to do 25 on each side.
Yesterday I ran about two miles while pushing Terrance. We both had a great time doing it. I love being outside and spending time with my baby. I also love being a good role model and showing him what it means to be healthy starting at such a young age.

  1. I did squats with a leg lift in between each and those always get me but love the results too!
